    Two weeks ago, renowned violinist Viviane Hagner joined the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra (ERSO) for a standout evening of contemporary and classical music.

    The highlight of the programme was Unsuk Chin’s Violin Concerto No. 1, a work by one of today’s most frequently performed living composers. Under the direction of Olari Elts, the orchestra also premiered a new piece by Estonian composer Maria Kõrvits, specially commissioned by ERSO.

    New Album from Viviane Hagner

    Today marks the release of violinist Viviane Hagner’s latest recording on Accentus Music.

    The new album presents works for violin and orchestra by Max Bruch and Alexandre Tansman, performed alongside the Poznań Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Łukasz Borowicz. The programme features Bruch’s celebrated Kol Nidrei, Op. 47, and Tansman’s Violin Concerto and Cinq Pièces pour violon et orchestre.

    Karen Ní Bhroin: Christmas at the Royal Albert Hall

    Conductor Karen Ní Bhroin led the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra for the festive “Anna Lapwood’s Christmas” event at the Royal Albert Hall on December 18, 2025. The concert features organist Anna Lapwood, the London Youth Choirs, and violinist Esther Abrami, promising a mix of carols and cinematic organ performances.     Viviane Hagner’s success in Poland

    Viviane Hagner has been named Artist in Residence this season with the Poznań Philharmonic, and her performances include concerts on October 11th and March 7th. Tonight, she performs Aleksander Tansman’s Concerto for Violin and Orchestra, conducted by Łukasz Borowicz.

    Hagner’s first visit to Poznań this season was on September 11th, on tour there with her Krzyżowa Musik Festival. She has been recognised for her contributions to cultural exchange between Germany and Poland, recently receiving the prestigious “Zasłużony dla Kultury Polski” (Order of Merit for Polish Culture) on August 29th, awarded by Jarosław Rabczenko from Lower Silesia’s authorities. Earlier in the year she was honoured with the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany (Bundesverdienstkreuz) by President Frank-Walter Steinmeier for her efforts in fostering cross-cultural collaborations, particularly through the Krzyżowa Festival.
