Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026.
Who we are
Morris Artists Limited (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal data when you visit our website, or when you interact with us as a client, talent, or industry professional.
For the purposes of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Controller is:
Morris Artists Limited
Company Registration No: 17279489

The personal data we collect
We may collect, use, store, and transfer different kinds of personal data depending on your relationship with us:
- For Clients: Professional names, contact details (email, phone, address), representations, portfolios, showreels, biographies, headshots, passport copies/national ID (for visas and international travel), and relevant medical or dietary requirements (for touring purposes).
- For Industry Professionals (Promoters, Venues, Casting Directors, Brands): Business names, job titles, business emails, telephone numbers, and professional correspondence.
- For Website Visitors: Technical data including your IP address, browser type, time zone setting, operating system, and information about how you use our website (via analytics).
How We Collect Your Personal Data
We use different methods to collect data from and about you:
Automated Technologies: As you interact with our website, we automatically collect technical data about your equipment and browsing patterns using Google Analytics or similar website analytics tools.
Direct Interaction: You may give us your identity and contact data by corresponding with us via email, phone, or in person during the onboarding process or contract negotiations. We do not use a submission form on our website.
Some artist pages embed video from YouTube. We use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), which is designed not to set tracking cookies unless you play a video. When a video loads or plays, Google/YouTube may receive your IP address and set cookies as an independent controller under its own privacy policy.
How and Why We Use Your Personal Data
Under the UK GDPR, we must have a “lawful basis” to process your data. We use your data for the following reasons:
Legal Obligation: To comply with necessary laws, such as verifying your right to work or securing international visas.
Performance of a Contract: To manage, represent, and service your professional engagements. This includes coordinating bookings, logistics, and promotions.
Legitimate Interests: To maintain our industry database, manage relationships with promoters and venues, and analyse website performance to improve user experience.
Who we share data with
To effectively manage and service our talent’s engagements, we may share personal data with selected third parties:
- Venues, Promoters, and Brand Partners: We share client biographies, headshots, press kits, and itineraries to secure and coordinate bookings.
- Travel Providers: We share necessary identification and contact details with airlines, hotels, and transport companies to book international and domestic travel.
- Publicity Networks: Client headshots, media links, and professional profiles are displayed publicly on our website and official social media channels to promote your work.
- Software Providers: We utilise Overture, a specialised industry relationship management system, to securely store and organise our professional contacts.
- Our hosting provider, which stores and serves the site and its server logs on our behalf.
- Google / YouTube, in relation to the embedded videos described above.
We do not sell your personal data or share it for third-party marketing. Links to external sites (such as streaming services, Instagram and LinkedIn) are governed by those sites’ own privacy policies.
Data Security and International Transfers
We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, altered, disclosed, or accessed in an unauthorized way.
Because we work with international promoters, venues, and travel networks, your data may occasionally be transferred outside the UK. When this occurs, we ensure a similar degree of protection is afforded to it by ensuring appropriate legal safeguards are in place.
Legal basis and retention
Where you contact us, we rely on our legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry; where we keep secure server logs, we rely on our legitimate interest in operating a safe and reliable website. We keep enquiry correspondence only for as long as needed to deal with your matter and any follow-up, and server logs for a short period in line with our host’s standard practice.
We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes we collected it for. To satisfy UK legal, regulatory, and tax requirements, we maintain standard client, talent, and engagement records for 7 years after our contractual relationship or final engagement ends.
International transfers
The embedded-video provider (Google) may process data outside the UK and EEA. Where that happens, such transfers are covered by the safeguards required under UK data-protection law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or an adequacy decision.
Your legal rights
Under UK data protection laws, you have rights regarding your personal data, including:
- Access: The right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: The right to ask us to rectify inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure: The right to ask us to delete your personal data under certain conditions.
- Restriction/Objection: The right to object to or restrict the processing of your data.
- Data Portability: The right to request the transfer of your data to another organization.
If you wish to exercise any of these rights, please contact us at imogen@morris-artists.com.
You also have the right to make a complaint at any time to the Information Commissioner’s Officer (ICO), the UK supervisory authority for data protection issues (www.ico.org.uk). We would, however, appreciate the chance to deal with your concerns before you approach the ICO, so please contact us first.
